What is Fox Festival?

Fox Festival is a birthday fest dedicated to Seok Matthew and his impact on the people who love him! We want to create a collection of works that feature Matthew being appreciated, loved, and most importantly: mashed.

A simple Matthew lover who is extremely happy to be included in the festivities. This is my first ZB1-related event and I’m so excited to see everything come together! A huge thank you to Varuna for recruiting me to be in charge of the designing. Let’s celebrate the birthday boy’s bright existence together and pay back the love he gives us everyday 🫶.

General Rules & Guidelines

  • Matthew must be featured as a main or central character. This fest is to celebrate him after all!

  • Works must be a minimum of 1000 words.

  • No Yujin RPS

  • Any rating and genre is allowed. Genfic/Fic without romantic ships are appreciated and encouraged!

Prompting Guidelines

Prompts must be submitted to the Fox Festival ao3 collection for registered authors to choose!When prompting, please make sure to include:

  • A short summary of your prompt or the general themes you want to see explored.

  • Your preferred rating.

  • Your preferred pairing(s).

  • Tags, topics, and tropes you want the author to include.

  • Tags, topics, and tropes you'd like the author to avoid.

Note: Prompting ≠ Commissioning. The organizers reserve the right to delete prompts considered to be against the spirit of a ficfest.

Claiming

  • You can claim a maximum of two prompts, but please prioritize the first prompt that you chose.

  • Claim(s) will be confirmed via email or dm using the contact info you provided in the sign-up form.

  • You may self-prompt. There will be a specific self-prompt option to claim.

Writing & Posting Guidelines

  • Because this fest is meant to celebrate and appreciate Matthew, we will not be accepting works featuring the following themes and topics: non-con, dub-con, incest, sexualization of minors, bestiality, or pedophilia.

  • Writers must submit at least one work that's a minimum of 1000 words.

  • Chaptered works do not have to completed at the time of submission as long as your first chapter meets the minimum word count.

  • Works must be submitted to the Fox Festival where mods will review your submission before posting.

  • Fics will anonymous during the posting period, and then revealed later on.

  • Have fun!

1. What if I need to drop out or I'm unable to meet the deadline?Please try to notify the organizers as soon as possible if you need to drop out. You can also request an extension if needed!2. How many prompts can I claim?You can claim a maximum of two prompts, but please prioritize the first prompt that you chose.3. Does my work have to be from Matthew's POV?Nope! As long as Matthew remains central to the narrative, writing your fic from the perspective of another character is not only allowed, but greatly encouraged!4. Can my work be about Matthew and a non-jebi?Absolutely! All of Matthew's friendships are welcome to be celebrated.5. I would like my work to remain anonymous.No problem! There will be a spot on the sign-up form for you to indicate as such. If you change your mind at any point before reveals, please contact us to let us know!6. What's the point of a fic fest dedicated to literally just one member?The Tthew must be Mashed, one way or another.
